"Fellow" leaguer Leigh Rosenblum will lead the discussion. The Chicago Tribune on April 27th had a thought provoking article entitled "Ethanol Betraying its Promises" and on May 20th a Commentary article by John McCain entitled "Farming for Riches". Continue to clip articles, come and listen to the discussion, air your views, and join us on the 12th of July for "coffee and...."
Saturday, July 19, 2008	10 AM	Call for location or check your Challenge newsletter	Observers. Enjoy a beverage and listen to members' reports on various local administrative/board meetings of our school districts #34 and #225, the village, the park district and the library.

A book discussion of Animal, Vegetable, Miracle: A Year of Food Life, by Barbara Kingsolver, Camille Kingsolver and Steven L. Hopp. We are hopeful that this time frame gives you plenty of opportunity to locate and read this wonderful account of the year the Kingsolver family attempted to eat only what they could grown on their farm in Virginia or buy from local sources. Join Leaguers to discuss the book and LWVUS and LWVIL agriculture positions.
